a) 15 new pre-k students, 1 new 6 th and 7 th students.

b) Miss K (Kinsinger) is the new PE teacher.

c) Mrs. Lancaster new Music teacher.

d) Mrs. Driscoll (4 th grade) starts 9/19.

e) Mr. Henry is the new AD.

f) Mr. Holman is the new School Facilities manager.

g) Ms. Benson is now Mrs. Shurman.

h) New stage curtain to be installed 9/8 AM.

i) Picture Day is Sep 12 th .

j) Mum fundraiser pick-up date is 9/14 – Time is TBD.

k) 1 st free dress day 9/15 $2 donation to Unbound (Melany).

l) Mid quarter is 9/19.

m) Althoff to visit grades 6-8 on 9/20.

n) ITBS dates 9/26-9/30.

e) Cosgrove’s Kitchen is starting back up. Will be looking for donations and

volunteers.

11. School Programs – Ally James


a) Trunk or Treat – on 10/30 – Miranda’s chair - $5/family

b) Movie Night – date TBD

12. Social Programs – Mandy Werle


a) The Rummage Sale generated over $10,000 in revenue! Thanks to Kim Hoffman

and to all the people that helped!

b) MCS Trivia Night – 11/4 – Need a chair!! MCS Trivia Night is the 2 nd largest

fundraising event on the MCS calendar. Without this event, some of our

activities may not happen.


13. Old Business


a) Grizzlies game update – Monica – No update from Grizzlies yet.

b) GotSneakers fundraiser – soft shoe donations will be taken throughout the

school year. Shoes do not need to be intact.


14. New Business


a) Parish Festival – Sep 10 th . Many open volunteer slots need to be filled, and

many donations are still needed. Please visit the QP MCS Facebook page for

more information.

b) MCS Calendar of Events – is currently hosted in the QofP.com site. Click Parish

d) SAVERS fundraiser – Sep 20 th load up day. Monica Brackman would appreciate

help loading the van to take to Savers.

e) St. Vincent de Paul will be returning to serve at Cosgrove’s Kitchen on the first

Saturday of the month.  They are in need of a lead couple in April, servers, and

food providers.  Due to East St. Louis Health Department regulations, food

providers will simply donate $15-20, and the lead couple then shops for the

food.  The meal consists of sloppy joes, potato chips, another side to be

determined, cookies, and bananas.  They have been serving about 100 meals

recently.  Julie Grubb is the coordinator of this service. This First Saturday meal

has been provided by our parish for over 20 years before COVID paused it.

f) Bringing back the QP Fish Fry! October 8 th Nov 5 th. Future QP Fish Fry dates are
